"The Essentials"
The weather in Saskatchewan can vary greatly, and hunters want to be prepared. You will need to pack gear to accommodate weather from 25 F to 70 F, wet to dry.
Remember good boots for both wet and dry conditions, face masks, wet-dry pants, gloves, headwear, and headlamps—they're a must!
Gun gear should include a locking case for flights, soft case for the field, and a shell/blind bag for personal gear and ammo for hunts.
You will need to purchase a license and HAL account online from the Ministry of Environment.
To bring your gun into Canada, hunters need to fill out a non-resident firearm's declaration. (Form CAFC 909) When filling out his form, be accurate and complete in doing so. Complete the form, but “Do Not” sign the forms until you are in the presence of a Canadian customs officer, as they must witness the signature. There is a fee to the Canadian customs office. To reach the Fire Arms Centre by phone, call (800) 731-4000
